GENERAL DELIVERY INFORMATION
Our baby gifts are dispatched on a next business day service from Sydney to capital cities including:
- Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth & Cairns, Gold Coast, Launceston, Newcastle, Rockhampton, Townsville & Wollongong.
AUTHORITY TO LEAVE SAFE - BABY GIFT HAMPERS
We use a Next Business Day courier service for the majority of our baby gifts. Due to the nature of the gifting business, and assuming in the majority of instances the recipient is not expecting the gift and may not be home, all of our parcels are labelled ‘Authority to Leave’ . This means that if the recipient is not home at time of delivery and the courier deems the location adequately secure, the parcel will be left at the delivery location without a signature as proof of delivery. In the unlikely instance that there is no safe place to leave the parcel, a calling card will be left advising the recipient of the attempted delivery.
AUTHORITY TO LEAVE - INDIVIDUAL BABY GIFTS
We use Express Post from Australia Post for our individual baby gifts. If your gift recipient is not home at time of delivery, your parcel will be left at the delivery address. If there is no 'safe' place to leave the parcel, a calling card will be left for the recipient to collect from the closest Australia Post.
Your baby gift will be delivered to the hospital between the business hours (8am to 5pm), unfortunately we are unable to guarantee an exact time. We ask that you ensure your recipient will be in hospital for the full day on the day of expected delivery. Unfortunately, if the recipient has been discharged at time of delivery and the hospital refuses to hold the gift for your recipient to collect, our courier will charge us a re-delivery fee, which will be on-charged to the customer to deliver the gift to an alternative location. Please also be aware that once the gift has been delivered to the hospital, Friday's Child has no control over the internal hospital processes which govern how long the gift may take to reach your recipient. We are not affiliated with any Australian hospitals, so we cannot take any responsibility for the gift once it has been received into the hospital. Thank you for your understanding.
Friday’s Child uses a third party courier service/Australia Post to deliver our baby gifts. Once your baby gift leaves our premises it is then in the hands of the courier company/Australia Post. We do our very best to ensure your gift arrives on time, however, there will always be circumstances that are out of our control which could affect delivery within these time-frames. In these rare instances, we will ensure we let you know as soon as we are made aware of the delay, and we will always aim to resolve the issue as quickly as humanly possible.
- We cannot deliver our hampers to PO Boxes. Only individual gifts sent via Australia Post can be delivered to PO Boxes.
- We do not deliver internationally as standard, please contact us for a quote
- Deliveries are made Monday to Friday only, between 8:00am to 5:00pm
